Assessment: we will ask you a few questions about your medical history to make sure you’re a suitable patient for Botox treatment.
Planning: careful planning is key to great facial aesthetics treatment. Your aesthetician here at InnovaDent Dental Clinic will study your skin to identify the static wrinkles present. They will also ask you about your lifestyle, such as whether you wear sun protection daily or smoke (the two biggest culprits of wrinkles!)
Treatment: an anaesthetic cream is applied to numb your skin, so you shouldn’t experience any discomfort. The wrinkle correction muscle relaxant is administered with a fine needle.
Our dentist-performed injectable skincare treatments are ideal as an introductory solution to anti-ageing but can also provide a long-term solution, if regular treatments are undergone. We recommend top-up treatment every 4 months to maintain the results.

Treatment is provided by a suitably qualified and registered clinician following an assessment. Because it involves a prescription-only medicine, a consultation and prescription are required before any treatment can take place.
Yes. We’ll always assess your suitability and discuss your medical history, expectations and any concerns before proceeding. This step is required, not optional, and it’s also your chance to ask questions.
The treatment is commonly used for lines around the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes. What’s appropriate for you is something we’d determine during your assessment rather than beforehand.
Suitability depends on your health, your medical history and what you’re hoping to achieve. It isn’t appropriate for everyone — for example, it isn’t given during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or where certain medical conditions are present. Your consultation is where we establish whether it’s right for you.
The treatment itself is usually fairly quick, often around fifteen to thirty minutes, though your first visit will take longer because of the consultation and assessment beforehand.

We’ll give you personalised advice at your appointment. Aftercare commonly involves avoiding rubbing the treated area and steering clear of strenuous exercise for a short period. Following the guidance we give you helps things settle as they should.
